Take a look at this inspiring young man, Dalton, from Dallas. I can only hope my son has this much confidence in himself.

  2. Aloha Mel,

I came over from BATW, and wanted to say hello and introduce myself. This was a powerful video, I hope my daughter has that much confidence to speak for the youth one day as well. I'm from Hawaii and would love to send a card to the soldiers. Please let me know what I need to do.

  6. I love to see new faces! Hi everyone, thanks for stopping by!

Let's hope that video makes its way to our elected officials. Schools are in serious trouble and that boy is proof they deserve all the funding they can get!

  7. Wow, this kid is good! I clicked on the link about him. I was wondering if he was a professionally trained entertainment performer, but it looks like he's not - just a really smart, talented, charismatic kid with a supportive family, and amazing talent.

I've worked around a lot of kid actors and dancers, and this young man is extremely impressive. Impressive that he has a very long monologue memorized (no teleprompter!), has the moves down, and has the professionalism to tailor his performance to the audience response. He appears very "at home" on stage.

I expect we'll be hearing his name in the future. I almost typed "Second African American President - after Obama" but with any luck the second one will be elected sooner than 2033, when Dalton will be 35.

    Wow.

I came here from Mrs. G's. You have a nice blog.
