I know others are thinking it... and I hate to be the first one to say this Mel, but SERIOUSLY? That photo is TOTALLY and utterly SHOCKING and DISGUSTING. That is freakin child abuse. I am overcome with anger that you would do such a thing to that beautiful boy, and then post it on your blog, like ha ha funny. I thought I sort of knew you, but THIS is HORRIBLE! NOT cute, awesome or funny! NOT OK. NOT a "natural consequence" NOT what a loving parent does. My blood is boiling right now. What the hell were you thinking... first hurting him this way AND then humiliating YOUR SON by making him pose for a picture and then posting it for the world to see?
I guess I am not surprised that you wouldn't "allow" my comments to be published. This part of your blog came to me by way of one of your now previous readers. People are talking about this Mel and you can choose to ignore it if you want but your repuataion is taking a hit because of this.
I would like to suggest you open up a conversation about this and/or allow differing opinions to be heard.

My name is Melanie. I'm 38, married to a peach of a man and mom to one really great boy. I like reading, shoes, chocloate, Girl's Night Out and shopping. Social Media fascinates me! I learn something new about it every day and enjoy sharing what I'm learning with others.
thats so awesome!!!
ReplyDeleteThat's to funny! He's a cutie.
ReplyDeleteUmm, is that soap?
ReplyDelete@Keya- Yes, he'd been warned several times about swearing.

ReplyDeleteHmmm. Really. I think you felt we were "close enough" to ask me for favors a few times. Come photograph you, rides etc...
ReplyDeleteAnyway, I stand by my comment that putting a bar of soap in your beautiful son's mouth and photographing it for the world to see is doubly abusive.
