O Magazine $5 | Mamapedia Deal

Sunday, February 13, 2011

I love it when magazine subscriptions drop down like this! My current subscription total is up to 16. 18 if the freebies I found this week go through. What can I say, I'm addicted!

Mamapedia is another site offering daily deals (current subscriptions to those sites about the same as my magazines!). One of their current Sweet Deals is a one-year subscription to O Magazine for $10. Code OPRAH5 should take $5 off at checkout (please let me know if the code isn't working). The deal is on the right sidebar.

I definitely want to keep up with this subscription since her show is ending. I like OWN but not as much as The Oprah Show. Are you watching OWN? What do you think so far?

*Offer fine print: Valid for 1-year subscription only. Valid for new subscriptions and renewals. Limit (1) per household. May purchase as gifts. Offer valid Feb 11-14, 2011 only. Will automatically receive subscription in 4-6 weeks after order placed. Affiliate link.

HOT! $10 off $10 Another great Hallmark Coupon!

Friday, December 10, 2010

**UPDATE**

Well it seems someone ruined the fun. Apparently, the coupon was altered and it's invalid. People who do that really piss me off. Those of us who try to use coupons legitimately end up looking like we're trying to pull a fast one. I apologize. I've used coupons from Deals Plus before with no problems. I hope none of you tried to use it yet and if you did and there were problems I'm so sorry. I'll definitely do more research before trusting that site again.

In addition to the Hallmark $5 off $5 coupons in certain magazines, there's a great $10 off printable coupon on deals.plus. This is a great way to score free cards, wrapping paper or small stocking stuffers.

You might be able to score free Almond Butter Toffee or Peppermint Vanilla diffusers depending on the offers in your store. Both are priced around $9. Add two .99 cards* and this a sweet deal!

The coupon is good through 12/24. Print it quickly before it's gone!

*Purchase needs to be $10 before taxes.

Why Didn't I Think of That?! : Fashion Friday

Friday, September 10, 2010

Even though I don't wear them often, I love animal print and red. I think it's because I don't know how to wear them, and certainly not together. Both are supposed to be part of the trends for this coming fall. This convertible handbag I saw in O Magazine solves my problem perfectly.

The outer lining of the bag zips off and there's a great pop of zebra print underneath. The best part? It's on sale for $30!

(also available in black with leopard)

I definitely file this under 'why the heck didn't I think of that!' Think of all the color combinations: I see a purple bag with a Pucci style print or a camel bag with an orange safari-style print. The possibilities are endless!

If you're a Shop At Home member you can also get free shipping on orders $49+ and 5% cash back through 10/2!

Can you see yourself with this bag? What would you wear it with?

Hot Shutterfly Deal Alert for Today's Groupon 9/6

Monday, September 6, 2010

I've been getting more and more deal and savings offers in my email. I'm guessing it's because of the grocery savings posts I've done. I've been hesitant to pass these on to you because I don't know if that's what you want. I'd only share the really good deals, like the one I got today, but don't want to go overboard if you all aren't into it.

I got an email from the folks at Groupon about a today-only national offer (their offers are generally regional). Shutterfly has posted their 8x8, 20-page photo book for only $10. It's usually $30. My neighbor always shows me the ones her grandkids make for her. They're really cute and the quality is great.
These are the type of things I'd be sharing. Since the holidays are so close some of these will be great to take advantage of. (Christmas countdown = 109 days!) Can you please let me know in the comments if stuff like this is useful for you? Maybe I can make it a weekend thing?

O Magazine for $5 at Amazon!

Monday, December 14, 2009

I've never seen an O Magazine offer this low and I've been a subscriber for 2 years. I just called customer service (O Mag, not Amazon) and asked if I purchased two separate offers would that give me 2 years. The woman told me I'd more than likely get double issues for one of the months but if I call back they could blend the two subscriptions together. Woot!

*The offer ends this Saturday 12/19. Affiliate link.

$5 Magazine Sale at Amazon

Sunday, December 6, 2009

At last count, my magazine subscription number has risen to 22 (it's a sickness). Many I'm getting, like Shape and Woman's Day, are free but I've taken advantage of so many deals I've found online. I've been earning Amazon gift certificates through a web panel I belong to and these $5 subscriptions* have been great for renewing the freebies.

I'm using them as holiday gifts too since we're on a pretty strict budget this year. I'm going to print out the cover of an issue and tie it with a bow to give to the recipient. Hope this helps you guys too!

Great Find: How I Used the $5 off Hallmark Gold Crown Coupon

Wednesday, December 2, 2009

CLOSED*If you're in So Cal, don't forget to enter my holiday meal giveaway: a spiral cut ham dinner for 6 people!*CLOSED

I got a pretty sweet deal when I went to the Hallmark store today and wanted to pass it along. Several blogs I read posted about a great coupon for $5 off a $5 purchase a Hallmark Gold Crown stores.

I went intending to pick up a few cards since they have a pretty good selection of .99 ones. When I got to the register, they had a small display of Christmas CD's marked down as their 'deal of the week.' I put four of the cards back and got Barry Manilow and Cheryl Crow CD's instead. Barry was $1 and Cheryl $3. With the coupon I paid .43!

I know most, if not all, Hallmark stores are franchised so this could only be an isolated deal but it's definitely worth checking out. I have 4 more coupons left and I told them I'd be back tomorrow to take advantage of the offer again. The CD's will be good stocking stuffers and teacher gifts.
From what I've read, the $5 coupon is now in 10 different magazines:

* Better Homes and Garden
* Country Living – December/January, after Page 96
* Family Circle – after Page 48
* Martha Stewart Living – December, Page 74
* Oprah – December, Page 119
* Parents – between Pages 84 and 85 ($10 off a story book)
* Real Simple – December
* Southern Living – December, insert after Page 62
* Taste Of Home – December/January, insert after Page 42
* Woman’s Day – December, Page 33

Hope you're able to take advantage of it!

*Thank you Couponing to Disney for compiling the magazine list! Sorry for the bad photo, I wanted to get the deal up before family game night.

Free Christmas Music!

Tuesday, December 9, 2008

I was so bummed I missed the free songs Oprah had on her site last week but this makes it all better. Go to Amazon every day through December 25th to download free Christmas music! There will be one free song every day (it started Dec. 1st).

There are artists and songs I've never heard of but am totally digging. I didn't know the Barenaked Ladies had a Christmas CD let alone they did a duet with Michael Buble!

Remember Jars of Clay? Yeah I didn't either until I came across this song. Free stuff rocks! Happy downloading! (Thanks Penny Pinching Diva!)

Eat More Chickin and Go Outback Tonight

Thursday, June 12, 2008

Hurry! Chick fil A restaurants are hosting military appreciation night TONIGHT! Active, retired and reservists (that's us!) and their immediate families eat FREE! The hours are 5-8. I would call and confirm with the restaurant in your area before you go. *UPDATE* At our location, we will be required to check in and show ID. They will then give us a set menu to order from that is our "meal ticket" to present to the cashier. Immediate family only.

In celebration of Dad, Outback Steakhouse is having a Outback's Dad's Day promotion. Take your husband, Dad, Grandad, uncle, etc. etc. to Outback on Father's Day (Sunday, 6/15) and they will receive a certificate good for $10 on their next visit.

Activate the certificate at http://outback.com/dadsday (the link will not be live before June 15th) and they will also be automatically entered to win a $100 gift card! That's a lot of Bloomin' Onions! The certificate can be used at any Outback location from June 18th - July 20th (a minimum $25 purchase is required). That's a pretty good deal, especially if you were planning to go anyway.
