A Hoppy Easter Giveaway

***Contest closed***

When we checked into our rooms for the Hop screening, there was a gorgeous basket waiting for us. It's full of goodies perfect for an Easter basket: coloring books, bath gels, lip balms, candy, drumsticks, a Pink Bunny beret and a stuffed EB, Pink Bunny and a chick. It's all adorable! But, Tyler has decided it's "too young" for him so I want to share the wealth with you.

Enter to win a basket full of Hop goodies!

1. Have you seen Hop yet? What did you think? If not, what do you put in your children's Easter baskets? Leave a comment below. This is required.

2. I MUST have a way to get in touch with you! I will have to delete comments with no contact info.

3. Comments will close on Sunday, April 17th at 11:59pm CA time.

4. I will use random.org to draw the winner and post the results/notify winners via email and Twitter.

5. For two bonus entries: (not required) Tweet, and/or post about this contest and leave each of your links in a separate comment (three contest entry opportunities total). You will need a free Twitter account.

6. Because of the timeliness, if the notified winner has not responded within 24 hours a new winner will be chosen.

7. You do not have to follow or subscribe to this blog as a method of entry. Tweet only once per day. Leave one comment for each entry. Here is the URL to this post: http://bit.ly/HOPBasket

8. The contest is open to US entrants only.

9. NOTE: Some of the items in the basket may not be suitable for small children (candy, bath items, lip balms).

Disclaimer: The items in the basket are part of the giveaway but not the basket itself. Universal provided the contents as well as my lodging and incidentals for the junket. They are not part of this giveaway. I am shipping the items to the winner on my own.

Congratulations, Laural!

  1. What a great giveaway, Mel!

We went to see it last week! The kids LOVED it! I thought it was going to be a disaster, being in a theatre with both kids, but they were SO into the movie the entire time, I actually got to enjoy it, too!

As for our easter baskets, I usually put a couple of little books, some stickers, stamps, etc., in there, and a special treat for each of them. Pickle doesn't eat cakes or chocolates, so he gets a small sampling of his favorite candies or snacks, and SugarPlum gets something chocolate to soothe the chocoholic in her! :) I limit the treats, and fill the basket with things that we can use for learning and playtime, instead...things that last a bit longer than the edible treats!

  3. My daughter saw the movie and thought it was really good. She'd LOVE this basket! For Easter, she only gets a few pieces of candy (one of which is a chocolate Easter bunny, of course), and the rest is fun, small toys. Like a book, a fun pencil, a cool box or coin purse, etc. One thing I leave out? That green plastic grass! HATE that stuff, lol.

  4. OH OH OH, I want!

In their baskets: Always candy. Picky kids get only Starburst Jelly Beans and Reese's eggs, also Hershey's mini's and M&Ms. They also always get one gift, but it always has to be a Spring theme. Something for outside play.

Of course they are all adults now, but they still get their baskets. As do the grandkids....and the girls are the reason I'd love this giveaway.

I really want to take the girls to see the movie.

  5. I haven't seen the movie yet, and I have yet to make an Easter basked for my daughter, it's her second Easter. I have thought about what I'll be putting in it this year: hello kitty bunny, gold fish (crackers), plastic eggs with coins inside for her piggy bank and a book about Easter!

  6. I had not heard of it till I read your blog and now I'm really excited to go. I have a nine year old with autism though and not sure he can manage a movie theater. May need to wait till it comesmout in video!

  7. No, we have not seen Hop, yet! It is definitely on our Easter vacation agenda...
Your giveaway is delightful and our two sons would be elated to wake up to your
Easter basket full of goodies! I usually have their Easter gifts on our kitchen table. Usually, they consist of small toys, Peeps, Reese's Eggs, and other fun toys! Then, we go on our egg hunt.
    Many thanks to you!

  12. We haven't seen the movie. I'm putting toys in the easter baskets. My kids are all under 3 and a bit too young for candy.
