I never thought about it that way, but you're right - we DID watch TV as a family, and there was nothing to worry about. Kiddo (age 6) could cheer and groan right along side of us, and we could talk about absolutely everything that was going on. (Although we did avoid explaining to him the age scandal with the Chinese female gymnasts - how do you explain THAT to a 6 yr old while still trying to keep an open mind?!)

ReplyDeleteThey WERE good this time, weren't they? Even my four year old was excited to watch whatever was being covered. Now I can't wait for the Winter Olympics!

ReplyDelete@Heather - My son likes to watch football with us but the commercials aired during the games drive us insane! Didn't have that problems with the Olympics.
